The applications are in and the stage is set for the Brighouse Echo presents Brighouse Has Talent auditions.

Singers, dancers, beat boxers, rappers, musicians, bands and a ventriloquist are preparing to perform their routines in front of our cameras during the audition day at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre next week.

Brighouse Echo news editor Dominic Brown said: “We’ve got a great variety of performers of all ages, and it looks like it will be a fantastic day of auditions.

“Thank you to everyone who has entered our new competition - and good luck to all the acts.”

The auditions will be held on Thursday, November 13.

Each of the acts will be photographed and then filmed performing their routines.

The videos will be uploaded onto the Brighouse Echo website - - and the photos will be featured in the November 20 edition of the paper.

And then it’s over to you to choose your favourite.

Voting will take place online via the Echo website and also via a voting form printed in the paper on November 20.

Once the votes have been counted, the top ten acts will go forward to the live grand final at Brighouse Civic Hall on Monday, December 1.

Tickets for the final will be going on sale next week. Details will be announced on our website and in next week’s Echo.

There are still a few audition slots available next Thursday. Email for more details.
