Christmas lights will be sparking all around Brighouse this weekend as towns get ready to welcome the festive spirit and hit the switch to the twinkling illuminations.
The Brighouse Friends Group of Overgate Hospice are once again holding Christmas Tree Light Up on December 5 at 6pm at Brighouse Juniors Football Club, Halifax Road.
The evening starts at 6pm with St Chad’s Junior Choir, perfroming followed by St Joseph’s Junior Choir, Brighouse High School’s wind band and girl band Once Geronimo. The tree will be lit at 6.45pm.
The Old Pond in Hove Edge will be hosting a Christmas family fun day with a performance from the Elland Silver Band on the same night at 8.30pm where there will be carols, mince pies and mulled wine.
Hipperholme will welcome revellers to the village for its festive lights switch-on by the crossroads on Friday, December 28, at 6pm.
There will be a carol service followed by the switch-on and festive refreshments afterwards at Christ Church, Hipperholme.
And Bailiff Bridge residents will bring the Christmas spirit to the village on Friday, December 5, with a lights switch-on celebration event from 5.30pm until 8pm at the community centre grounds and memorial park.
