Businesses in Brighouse are beginning the clean up after the canal and river levels hit their highest level on record.
The River and Calder and Hebble Navigation Canal reached their peak on Boxing Day leaving businesses along the banks under water.
Among them was the Rokt Climbing Gym which saw the ground floor and parking area submerged.
Euan Noble, Commercial Director of ROKT, said: “Like much of Brighouse, we’ve been hit by flooding but the clean up is already under way and we hope to be open again December 28.
“While the ground floor under goes refurbishment, most of the centre will be open for business as usual including bouldering, summit room, circuit room, slab room and the kids attic. Lead climbing is also planned to be fully operational along with caving.
“The Millers Bar is set to open for normal service.
“We want to reassure customers that it is largely business as usual and to keep checking our website for updates.”
