The festival, which was first staged last year, will be held at Leeds Road playing fields on Thursday, June 14 (6-8pm).

More than 150 children are expected to take part in the tournament, from community clubs across Kirklees and surrounding areas.

Huddersfield Giants community manager Chris Cullimore, who coached Ronan for two years, said: “This year the aim is to make it bigger and better than last year.

“We want to bring the community together and we want the festival to be fun for all and a real celebration of Ronan’s life.”
