SEQUINS sparkled and diamantes dazzled when Overgate Hospice gave dedicated followers of fashion the chance to stock up with festive party wear.
The charity’s shop in Bethel Street, Brighouse, opened its doors for a night of glitz and glamour - and more than 100 customers flocked in.
Tracey Broadbent, retail coordinator, said: “The evening went really well and we raised almost £1,500. We had been putting sparkly party clothes and Christmas gift items to one side all year so that we could put on a really good show. Our volunteers worked hard to get the shop ready and all our customers were very supportive.”
Jacqueline Yates, shop manager, said: “We’ve been saving items all year - people wait especially for this evening so they can stock up on party outfits for Christmas.”
The evening included wine, canapes and a raffle.
l The hospice is holding a Christmas market on Saturday, December 3 at Brighouse Civic Hall from 10am to 3pm.
