Paul’s become one of thefamily at furniture store
WAREHOUSE manager Paul Booth is celebrating 25 years of service at a Brighouse furniture store.
Mr Booth started at Websters in Commercial Street as a trainee in the warehouse. Over the many years he has worked his way up and is now in charge.
He makes sure everything is ready to go out on time, all the goods are in excellent condition and they are delivered safely to customers. He also deals with customer inquiries.
The Rastrick father-of-two has seen many changes at the family-owned business and has enjoyed being part of the expansion, selling high quality furniture, meeting new people and offering advice on how to look after the furniture.
“I have really enjoyed working with the family here at Websters. It is a good firm to work for and is well established. They have always looked after me and treated me fair and with respect. I really enjoy my job,” he said. “Depending on my health, because it is a heavy lifting job, I will still be here in another 25 years.”
Presenting him with a silver watch, manager Mark Blackburn, said: “He is our last contact with customers so he is an important part of the team. He is a valued member of staff and more like part of the family than an employee.”
