A planning application that will see more new houses built between Lightcliffe and Brighouse has been submitted to Calderdale Council
Outline proposals have been submitted to the planning department by agents Hartley Planning and Development Associates on behalf of Mr Rand for ten detached houses on land at the rear of Deanhurst Garage off St Giles Road. The business and economy deaprtment at the Council has been consulted and their consultee comment stated: “This site has had very little use for business purposes, it was last used as a vehicle storage space on part of the site with the rest mostly unused plus the site is actually allocated as green belt.
“The land next to this site is now predominently housing and we feel that the loss of this site for employment purposes would now be detrimental so are happy to recommend approval of this application.
Calderdale Council’s Planning Committee passed proposals for ten substantial detached houses on the Deanhurst Garages Limited site, which was used for coach parking and garaging.
