Love Bread’s new bakery kitchen at No7 Martin Street, Brighouse, will be officially opened on Saturday, May 16 - and the local community is invited to check out the new facility.
The opening event, which takes place betweem 11am and 2pm, will also mark the end of Real Bread Week.
It will feature the opportunity to look around the community kitchen, have a go at making pizza and cooking it in the outdoor bread oven, try your hand at bread making or simply come to try out the breads and munch through some tea and toast.
The event is free and all are welcome to come and see the newly expanded bakery.
Love Bread is a social enterprise staffed by volunteers.
It started in 2012 with the aim of bringing the many benefits of baking real bread to Brighouse and Calderdale communities.
Founding member Carole Roberts said: “It has been quite overwhelming to see the community support for our project over the last three years. Many thanks too to everyone who has helped us get to this point, and beyond.
“We would welcome any member of the local community to call into the bakery on Saturday and find out more about Love Bread and see our amazing new facilities.”
