BRIGHOUSE building supplies firm Naylor Myers has announced its support for the Brighouse Echo Business Awards.
The company, which has a branch on Wakefield Road, Clifton, as well as in other parts of Yorkshire and Lancashire, is sponsoring the Innovator of the Year award.
Naylor Myers will be joining a distinguished list of sponsors for the awards which will be announced at a ceremony at Brighouse Sports Club on Thursday, May 12.
Other sponsors include Armitage Sykes Solicitors, Calderdale Council, Grand Central Trains, KITS, Rand and Asquith and Artisan Fireplace Design. Coun Barry Collins, Calderdale Council’s economy and environment spokesman, said: “During the last two years the council has invested more than £2 million into the borough’s economy, much of it in business start-up and development grants. Despite the Government’s spending cuts, we’re determined to try and carry this particular work forward.
“For us the Brighouse Echo Business Awards are a declaration of intent. That’s why we are particularly pleased to sponsor the new business prize.”
Jason Costello, chairman of United Brighouse, said the group welcomed the business awards. “It’s only right that we should be shouting from the rooftops about Brighouse business success stories,” he said.
“It’s important that we recognise our local gems as these organisations contribute so much to our local economy.”
