Former Manchester United and England captain, football legend Bryan Robson will be guest of honour at a Sportsman’s dinner at the Holiday Inn, Brighouse.
The dinner will celebrate a number of important anniversaries in his career including the 30th anniversary of United’s FA Cup final win over Everton and 25 years since Robson’s England’s Italia 90 World Cup Campaign, which made a household name of Paul Gascoigne who later stated Robson to be the best footballer he ever played with.
Robson played 461 times for Manchester United, scored 99 goals and won a host of trophies including two Premier League titles and the FA Cup three times. England fan favourite “Captain Marvel” earned 90 caps and scored 26 goals in a great international career.
The evening will be held on Friday, May 1 and will raise money for Clifton Rangers Junior Football Club. The event which will also feature top comedian Billy Bean, includes a three course meal and charity silent auction and raffle.
