I am concerned at the pressure from the Council to build yet more houses in the area.
We already have 700 new homes in Bailiff Bridge, many more have been built in Hipperholme with more currently starting behind the Crosslee factory.
With a possible 2000 additional houses in the local area of Brighouse and Hipperholme, going forward, this is putting intense pressure on the local infrastructure.
Residents are rightly concerned about how the infrastructure would cope: the road junctions, the pressure on schools and other services. It is my opinion that our area cannot and should not take any further housing development until such time as a plan, acceptable to the local community, is put forward and agreed, to improve the infrastructure, including a train station at Hipperholme.
