The Friends of Bailiff Bridge Park and Residents group are looking to track down relatives of those honoured on the park’s war memorial.

So far the great-niece of H. Ernest Clegg, Angela Gash, has been found and she has been invited to lay a wreath on the new centenary area on November 9.

Another relative Thomas Moran, a relation of Thomas Moran of Bradshaw, who has a family in Hipperholme, has been found.

Malcolm Silkstone, from the group, thinks he may be able to make contact with the relations of Milton and Harry Aspinall, but has been unsuccessful so far.

They are now hoping members of the public can help track down more of the relatives.
