The Brighouse Salvation Army Worship Hall was transformed into Santa’s workshop as a group of volunteers once again took on the task of sorting, wrapping and labelling approximately 500 toys for the children of the town.
Social workers and health visitors gave lists of the names of local children who needed a gift from the Toy Appeal this Christmas.
It was a tiring day but volunteers sang along to Christmas songs to keep their festive spirit alive as they worked hard preparing presents ready to be collected and distributed by the children’s social workers.
As well as the kind volunteers, Hallmark also showed its support by donating a full box of wrapping paper for preparing the gifts. The Salvation Army is thankful to everybody involved in ensuring all local children enjoy this festive season.
