STEPHEN and Carol Rooks at the White Horse, Hipperholme, will this weekend have live music from Chloebeth Hamer from 8pm Saturday evening.
Chloebeth attended The Crossley Heath Grammar School, Halifax, and is now enjoying studying the BA Hons degree of Popular Music at Manchester Met University.
A classically trained singer, Chloebeth also sings contemporary songs and writes her own music with aspirations to be a professional singer/actress.
She has taken part in the prestigious Mrs Sunderland Music Festival since the age of nine and went on to achieve first places every year without fail until her last entry in 2010.
Chloebeth has also appeared in the BBC documentary ‘In Search of the Brontes’ playing the part of young Charlotte Bronte, and has had key roles in musicals.
THE Calder is having a band night on June 22 from 9pm when The Cheats will take to the stage. They are a Britpop band playing music such as Oasis, Blur, Stone Roses and Ocean Colour Scene.
Tonight (Thursday) there is a jam session at the Barge, then on Friday evening Salah Sounds will entertain. Saturday night Atlanta will be performing.

OVER 100 people packed into Lightcliffe Cricket Club to enjoy ‘music in the marquee’ . They were entertained by songs from the last five decades. A range of musicians had been assembled by curator Bob Horne to showcase their skills and the club would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and those who came.
