Good Times: Celebrating bar’s second birthday

On Friday night at Jeremy’s they have The 25 O’Clock band.

This is their first appearance at the bar and they play the likes of the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Stereophonics, The Beatles and much more.

Saturday sees the return of the ever popular Bad Asteroids, a band with great presence playing the very best of pop, funk and soul.

On Sunday its time to chill out to the acoustic sounds of Nathaniel Lodge playing from 4pm.

Coming up this month Jeremy’s will be celebrating their second birthday with a fun filled pirates theme night. This is taking place on Saturday, November 21 with two bands appearing as well as an acoustic set kicking off the music at 4pm from the very talented Ross Taylor, plus a member of the Nu Popes singing soul and Motown.

One of Jeremy’s favourites In Echoes will appear at 6pm followed by Sound Town at 9.30pm to dance the night away.

l Tonight (Thursday) at The Barge, the weekly jam session is with the Psychoslinkys. Then on Friday night the Psychoslinkys will be performing. Saturday evening Audley Buckley and The Super Fly will be on stage followed on Sunday evening by Alex Graham and The Concords

l Tickets are still on sale for a 007 Bond Extravaganza this Saturday November 7, from 7pm at The Millers Bar. Priced at £39.95 per head with tickets available from the bar and online, there will be a Bond style abseil, silo light show, a three course meal with canapés, cocktails, roulette wheel, poker, magic and live music. The dress code is black tie and cocktail dresses.

l Also one for the diary is Millers Bar’s first birthday on Saturday, November 21. Everyone is welcome with tickets at £10 per person and you can preview the new upstairs restaurant pHure Liquors and the Christmas fayre menu.

l The new look Junction Inn, at Ogden Lane, Rastrick, has been open one week now and it has welcomed many customers old and new through the doors to see its new look and feel. They opened with a curry night followed by a ghost walk last Saturday evening and manager Phil has more events in the social calendar planned.

“We have a great bunch of customers and new clientele coming into the pub and they all have nothing but nice things to say about how well the pub looks,” confirmed Phil.

l The Cedar Court Hotel, at Ainley Top (junction 24), is selling tickets for a soul and Motown night on November 20, that is back by popular demand. The evening will consists of a meal and lots of dancing,

l Also if you haven’t tried Grill 54, the hotel’s restaurant which opened a few months ago, it is well worth a try.

They do rotisserie chicken, steaks, ribs and plenty more dishes to suit all tastes and it’s easy on the bank account.
