CONSTRUCTION of a luxury new housing estate in Lightcliffe is well underway.
Seddon Homes are constructing 13 substantial five bedroom stone built residences within the land at Ryecroft off Wakefield Road.
Work started on the site in November last year and they hope to have completed it later this year.
Prices for the homes will start from £399,950 with each property crafted to exacting standards and enjoying superior specifications including SieMatic kitchens and a double garage. The ‘Exley’ house will be the largest property on the site priced at £645,000.
The site used to be occupied by Longacre bungalow and a larger Georgian two storey dwelling and outbuildings known as Ryecroft in substantial grounds with protected trees along the southern boundary and the private driveway.
However, they made way to the new dwellings which planning officers said will add to the mix of property in the area will provide a quality development screened from the main road by the existing and proposed tree cover.
The estate will be arranged around a cul-de-sac with private driveways to each dwelling.
