School trip is China in their hands

More than 50 students and staff members from Brighouse High School’s sixth form have departed for China.

The two-yearly trip will include various excursions and sight seeing. Each of the students has had to raise £100 towards the trip.

The students have already been on excursions to Tian’an men Square and the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, the Hutong Rickshaw Tour, Temple of Heaven and seen the Kung Fu Show.

They have visited the Great Wall and the Sacred Wall and yesterday they went to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall and went to watch the Tang Dynasty Show.

Today they will go to the Terra-cotta Army Museum and the Huaqing Hot Spring and tomorrow they will visit the No 26 High School and a local massage parlour for a foot massage.

On Saturday there will be a trip to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Yu Garden shopping market and Huangpu River Cruise. There will be a trip on the Maglev and Bund and local markets and an evening visit to the Chinese acrobatic show. They will arrive back home on Monday.

A spokeswoman for the school said they were having a great time in China and were thoroughly enjoying the different trips.

The trip to China alternates with a trip to the USA for the students.
