Children at Shirley Manor Primary School were buzzing from their experiences as part of science week.
Key Stage two children at the Wyke school were wowed by cabbage chemistry courtesy of BASF, the world’s leading chemistry centre, and children in years one and two were fascinated by a visit from Florence Nightingale Thackeray Medical Museum.
They experienced the sights and the smells of an old hospital.
The whole school was treated to a visit from the exotic animals from ZooLabs. They were able to hold and observe the animals up close.
Science co-ordinator Judith Carnelley said: “The whole week was a big success and the children were buzzing from their experiences.”
