Staff and students were treated to a roast dinner in celebration of the Roast Dinner Day.
The event celebrated the food William Henry Smith School is serving and the work it is doing to transform their food culture through cooking, growing and visiting farms.
Roast Dinner Day also celebrates the catering staff for their commitment to providing healthy, freshly prepared meals.
Students and staff enjoyed the dinner commenting that the roast potatoes, cooked in goose fat, and beef.
One of the aims of Roast Dinner Day is to show off the quality of a school meal in the school, and how eating a good meal can sustain learning throughout the day.
Roast Dinner Day is organised by Food for Life Partnership and this coincided with its tenth anniversary.
