Lightcliffe Academy is undertaking a number of changes to address issues raised in its recent Ofsted report.
The school, which remains in special measures following the inspection, has seen Dr Wendy Bradford join the staff team until the end of the summer term to increase the pace of the improvement process.
Dr Bradford and interim executive head teacher Carol Kitson attended a parents’ forum at which they addressed concerns.
Ms Kitson said: “We continue strengthening teaching and learning, benefitting from additional support, monitoring and challenge. I have met delightful students who have engaged in really interesting conversations. All have been hopeful for the future. I want to build on these hopes and aspirations and ensure that they all achieve well and feel proud of their achievements and of the school.”
