I am sure these children (left to right) Faye Poole, Joseph Dawson, Robert Balmforth and Charlotte Rhodes would have found it very strange wearing this style of clothes and shoes.
These are just four from the class at St John’s (C of E) Primary Academy Clifton, as it’s now called, back in March 1994 who got into the spirit of the lesson. I well remember having a happy half day at this school talking about the past and showing Victorian images of both Clifton and Brighouse. We even did a little bit of map reading. The most fascinating part of my visit was for the children to see familiar places as they looked over a hundred years.
