Funeral directors Charles Wood is collecting Easter eggs for local disadvantaged children in Brighouse and surrounding areas.

Staff at the Bramston Street directors are asking local businesses, community groups and residents to donate Easter Eggs so that they can bring a smile to the faces of children at Easter. Charles Wood Funeral Service is part of Dignity, which launched the Easter Egg Challenge in 2002.

Funeral Manager Sheila Brodie said: “We hope that the local community will support us and help to make Easter an enjoyable time for these children. Last year Dignity staff collected thousands of Easter eggs for children across the country and we would like to have the opportunity to do the same for the children in this area.”

If you would like to donate an Easter egg, call 01484 720811 to arrange a collection or you can drop your gift in to Bramston Street, Brighouse, HD6 3AA, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
