Witness appeal after tools are stolen from van in Cleckheaton


Police are appealing for witnesses after tools were stolen from a van in Cleckheaton.

The Citroen Relay was broken into on Links Avenue - off Hunsworth Lane - between 5.45pm on Tuesday, April 1, and 7.25am on Wednesday, April 2.

Nine different tools, including drills, jigsaws and other items, were stolen.

PC Chris Birkenshaw, of the Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The individuals responsible for this offence may have attempted to sell these items locally.

“They include a ‘Trend’ black worktop jig, a 110V ‘Freud’ router in grey with red writing, 3.5 KW transformer in yellow, 18V XRP ‘Dewalt’ battery drills in yellow, 240V Bosch hammer drill in green, ‘Dewalt’ jigsaw, ‘Bosch’ Jigsaw, ‘Paslope’ nail gun, ‘Makita’ rip saw (Circular saw 190mm blade) in blue.

“I would ask that anyone approached with these items contact the police on the non emergency number 101.”
