Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward after a teenage girl was racially abused on the 626 bus from Bradford to Brighouse last month.

The incident happened between Hove Edge and Brighouse at around 1.20pm on Thursday, January 23.

Officers are also investigating a similar incident on the 549 bus from Huddersfield to Brighouse on Monday, January 13, at 3.40pm in which a teenage girl was also reportedly racially abused.

A 48-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with both offences and released on bail.

PC Liam Hay, of the Lower Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I would urge anyone who was on either of these buses and believes they may have witnessed the alleged behaviour to call the Lower Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
