A suspected drink driver crashed a car into a lamp post and knocked power out in Brighouse this morning (Friday).
Police on routine patrols came across the incident on Bradford Road at 3am.
The vehicle appeared to have crashed into a lamppost, which became embedded in a detached electrical sub station,
All four occupants - two men and two women - managed to escape unharmed, The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle whilst over the permitted limit.
Northern Power Grid were called to the scene and after the vehicle was recovered and turned off the electricity supply whilst the scene was made safe. Power has since been restored. Structural engineers were also called to make sure the building was safe.
