A JUDGE has ordered a murder accused to be brought to court next month after agreeing to adjourn his case.
Gavin Sartain is alleged to have murdered his partner Michelle Suttle, 23, at a house in Baker Street, Oakes, Huddersfield, in June.
The 31-year-old’s case was listed at Bradford Crown Court yesterday (Thursday) for a plea and case management hearing and Sartain took part in the proceedings via a video link to prison where he is currently remanded in custody.
Former Rastrick High School pupil Miss Suttle was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary after suffering multiple stab wounds following an incident at the couple’s home.
After discussions about the case the Honorary Recorder of Bradford Judge James Stewart QC agreed to adjourn the proceedings until October 3, but he told Sartain that on that occasion he would be brought to the court.
