A Rastrick man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to breaching his bail by visiting his former partner’s house.

Darren Stanton, 38, was found hiding under a bed at a house on Malham Road, Rastrick, on April 6, where his ex-partner and her three children live.

He was prevented from doing so after appearing in court on an assault charge on March 4.

Defence solicitor Zahir Hanif told Calderdale Magistrates Court Stanton’s only intention was to drop off some money and then go home. Stanton, of Bramston Street, will appear in court on April 29.
