Bogus callers target pensioner in Wyke

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner in Wyke was targeted by bogus callers.

Two men attended the victim’s house offering to carry out building work on Tuesday, September 17, at 1.30pm. Once inside they removed cash and made their escape.

One is described as white, in his late 40s, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He has short dark curly hair and was possibly wearing a white track suit.

The second is a white male, 60-years-old and of a stocky build with a large belly. He was wearing a trilby hat.
