Armed masked men attempt to raid Rastrick off-licence

Three men wearing masks and armed with a knife and wooden stick attempted a robbery at an off-licence in Rastrick.

At around 8.30pm on Monday, December 21, the men wearing masks entered a shop in Church Street.

The men demanded cash from the till but a staff member managed to grab the wooden stick and the three men left empty-handed.

DC Marcus Southwell, of Calderdale District CID, said: “Thankfully this incident came to a safe conclusion but nonetheless these men have entered this shop armed with weapons and it is vital that we identify them.

“Anyone who was in the area and witnessed any part of this offence or with information about the men responsible are asked to call Calderdale CID via 101.”
