A Brighouse communications and strategy consultant has been nominated for the ‘Man of the Year’ award at a ceremony celebrating International Women’s Day.
Stephen Naylor, the founder and director of Waverley Consultancy, is shortlisted in the category at the International Women’s Day Awards 2015, organised by the Network She Foundation.
He was put forward due to his work promoting Yorkshire’s Superleague Netball team, Yorkshire Jets, as well as netball and women’s sport in general.
Stephen said: “Raising the profile of netball in Yorkshire, and our Superleague team, Yorkshire Jets, is a team effort but I am delighted to have been nominated for this award. “The work developing the communications and marketing for the Jets is all about ensuring the sport has the profile it deserves in Yorkshire.”
The Yorkshire Jets are one of eight teams which play in Netball’s Superleague, the highest level of competition for the sport in the UK
Jane Moulson, Franchise Manager of the Yorkshire Jets, said: “In the short space of six months, Stephen’s work has had a huge impact on the profile of the Yorkshire Jets, and netball generally.
