A Brighouse renewable energy installer has been shortlisted for two National Heat Pump Awards.
Q-Gen based at St Peg’s Mill, Bradford Road, could win Commercial Installation of the Year and Installer of the Year at the awards which is to reward the industry’s hardest working and most respectable installers, manufacturers and trainers.
Q-Gen is hoping they will win at least one when the results are announced in May.
Managing director Liz MacFarlane said: “We are over the moon to be short-listed for two awards at the most prestigious event in the heat pump calendar. We work very hard at Q-Gen and our small but dedicated team deserves the recognition the award brings.
“The industry has had its ups and downs over the last two years; however, heat pumps are a great technology which can provide a property’s entire heating and hot water needs. Using sustainable energy from your garden or the air around your house means no reliance on oil or gas, carbon emissions significantly drop while saving hundreds of pounds a year.
The Commercial Installation of the Year award is for a care home at which they installed ground source heat pumps. Q-Gen was in fact nominated by Danfoss, one of the world’s leading heat pump manufacturers.
“The Installer of the Year award is for Q-Gen’s versatility in installing both commercial and domestic properties and customer care service. We have dozens of unprompted personal recommendations. Our engineers and sales support always get great feedback because they go the extra mile,” said Liz
