Brighouse Web developers Pivotal Marketing Ltd put their best foot forward by completing the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge and raising £404.50 for Overgate Hospice.
The company tackled the iconic northern trek last month, completing it in 11 hours, 50 minutes. Setting off bright and early at 7.30am, the group climbed up Pen Y Ghent, then scaled Whernside before ascending the final peak, Ingleborough.
Taking part were marketing director Phil Hatfield, his wife Jill, copywriter and social media c0-ordinator Jayna Patel and her dad Sanjay Patel, along with other family and friends. Phil Hatfield said: “As a local business it’s important to give something back by doing fundraising.
“There are few people in Calderdale who haven’t been touched by the warmth, compassion and consideration that Overgate Hospice give every day and every night, year in and year out, and so we believe they make a hugely worthwhile charity to raise funds for.
“The Three Peaks Challenge was a tough one but going on training walks during the weeks running up to the event made it possible, and reaching the summit of each peak to be greeted by spectacular views made it a memorable and fun experience.”
The tight-knit team were pleased to have help from family and friends, Beverley Patel and Tom Merry, who transported much needed food and supplies in support cars during the day.
Pivotal were also extremely grateful to customers and colleagues like web developer Karys Moffat, who generously sponsored their cause at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Pivotal-Web- Three-Peaks.
