Calder Valley MP Craig Whittaker visited Brighouse-based public relations firm Faith PR in a show of support to local businesses based at Thornhill Brigg Mill.
Faith PR has recently been announced as a top 50 PR agency by Prolific North, an independently-owned publishing company.
The MP talked to Faith PR directors, Carl and Stefanie Hopkins, about the importance of supporting local businesses that fuel the local economy and boost job creation in the area.
The firm has recently established Big Shots Coffee Co, together with four other Brighouse-based entrepreneurs. The 500 sq ft independent coffee shop is aimed at local businesses and is housed next door to Faith PR in Thornhill Brigg Mills.
Stefanie Hopkins, Director of Faith PR, thanked Craig for his visit and said: “It was fantastic for Craig to take the time out and visit Thornhill Brigg Mills and our business. It allowed him to see first-hand how the mill has been revived and how much of an attractive location Brighouse is becoming.
“We were able to talk about the growth of Faith PR from myself as a sole trader operating from our spare room to an agency which today employs eight people. We also spoke about how supportive and collaborative the Brighouse business community is and I know he has a real interest in supporting the growth of local businesses.”
Whittaker stated: “It was great to see the continued success of Brighouse businesses on my visit to the Thornhill Brigg Mills office development. Our local economy here in Brighouse continues to go from strength to strength, providing additional job opportunities for local people and further support our local economy. The growth of local businesses such as Faith PR is a testament to this”.
