A Brighouse-based firm has defied the odds by reporting a 30 per cent increase in turnover.
Metalworking firm Arkoni in Armytage Road has increased its turnover in the past year to £4 million and could be set to create ten new jobs over the course of 2013.
Arkoni, who manufacture and install a range of metal and fire resistant glazing solutions for commercial construction projects across the UK, has exceeded expectations with its latest figures according to managing director Mark Prentice.
“We had targeted a turnover of £3.6million for the last financial year but we’ve come in substantially above that which is positive news in terms of our recruitment plans and future business ambitions.
“We’ve seen a growth in demand right across the UK over the past 12 months which has helped to cement our position as one of the three major players in this market,” said Mark.
Arkoni, established in 1991, specialises in the manufacture and installation of bespoke staircases, balustrades, canopies, entrance areas and fire resistant glazing on behalf of many of the UK’s major construction firms and architectural practices.
Over the past two decades they have added the finishing touches to many iconic venues including the 02 arena, Manchester’s Trafford Centre and the Tate Gallery in London.
