Community centre set to meet demand for space to hire

Waring Green Community Centre’s committee has made spaces available in their busy timetable for rooms to rent.

Due to the ever increasing demand for rooms for parties and as a regular meeting place the centre has made space to accommodate them.

Chair Tony Mead said: “We have a number of groups who meet on a regular basis but their activities are as diverse as Scottish dancing, and needlework crafts. We offer a wide range of space for hire at reasonable rates.

“Unfortunately in the past we have had to turn away people applying to use our rooms due to our timetable being full.

“We now have a number of slots during the week and at the weekend for some of our rooms.

“The rooms vary in size and all of them are spacious and comfortable; so whether it is for business or pleasure the centre can offer you the perfect space for your activity.

“Our building is wheelchair friendly and easily accessible, with a bus stop right outside the door. There are kitchen facilities available and the use of this is included in any room hire price.

“We need and welcome your support, when you use our facilities you are investing in a great community resource. We are a responsible charity and any profit we make is reinvested in the centre. The building is run by volunteers and we’re always happy to hear from people who’d like to help.”
