Lattitude 7 - Sponsor of
New Business of the Year

Lattitude7, a previous winner in this category, is proud to sponsor the New Business of the Year Award.

The Brighouse business provides highly-engaging training to help people, teams and businesses grow.

Dr Martin Haigh, owner of the company, works locally, nationally and overseas and is also supporting, and working with, a number of forward-looking organisations in Brighouse.

He is a Chartered Engineer by profession and worked as an Engineering Director in a large global company. In 2001 Martin was invited to head up coaching for the global engineering process which, at that time, had around 750 people. He was responsible for talent management, organisational development and leadership training.

Lattitude7 was established in 2010 and offers training in personal development, presentations skills, team building, ethics and integrity, leadership, solution finding and coaching and mentoring. They work with many different kinds of people, in different sectors, and in a variety of locations. Martin takes real pleasure in supporting organisations and he goes the extra mile to find out what their development needs are and then helps the people and the company to flourish. “It is amazing to see people move out of their comfort zone, become better at communicating and be more empowered to make decisions. This helps the businesses to grow and enables the more senior people in the companies to step back and work on the strategic direction of the business,” Martin said.

Martin, a qualified trainer and coach, Six Sigma Blackbelt and NLP Practitioner, said: “We work hard to make sure that the quality of our research and delivery stays high so that our clients have the best possible outcome. We ensure that clients get more than they ever expected so that their businesses can move ahead of their competition.

“We love working in Brighouse as we find people in the town very friendly and there is an extremely vibrant business community here. We are supporting many local companies and Brighouse High School. We also work collaboratively with a number of Brighouse businesses and this helps our shared clients to have a great learning experience.”

Lattitude7 has a very strong CSR policy and they help many charitable organisations. In 2013 Martin cycled 937 miles from Land’s End to John O’ Groats to help young people, in Calderdale, into work. And, through enterprise initiatives, has raised funds for Forget-me-Not Children’s Hospice, Whizz Kidz and other valuable causes. Martin is now chair of Working Wonders Ltd, an award-winning charity established to support local apprentices.

Martin said that Lattitude7 benefitted enormously from winning the award and is looking forward to seeing another emerging business walk away with the New Business accolade.
