l Landlord Adrian Whitworth at The Beck on Bradford Road has been in touch with a rundown of his festive entertainment.
This Sunday he has the return of Bella Gaffney from 4.30pm. On Saturday, December 20, Roger Davies is playing old and new songs to preview his new album coming out in March 2015.
Then on Sunday it’s carols and brass with Kirklees Brass from 3pm. This was massively popular with families from the Brighouse and Bailiff Bridge area last year and warm mulled cider will be on sale.
This will be followed by David Kennedy, Ian Crabtree and the Rainey Street Band from 4.30pm.
l Local popular musical symphony LB Brass is rounding off a busy year with its December bookings.
This Friday the band is at the Royal Armouries in Leeds for the Wakefield and Airedale Friday Luncheon Club.
Then on Saturday it’s to St Matthew’s Church in Rastrick at 7pm for a carol concert accompanied by Longroyde Junior School choir.
Lastly on Saturday, December 20, the band heads to Crow Nest Park Golf Club at 7pm, playing a carol concert whilst the audience eat their dinners prior to a Grand Ball later in the evening.
l Tonight (Thursday) at The Barge the Jam Session is with Mick from Psychoslinkys. On Friday J.B. Goode will be on stage, followed on Saturday evening by the Hard Rock Outlaws. The live music is wrapped up on Sunday with the Sillie Billies.
l This Friday night at Jeremy’s at the Boathouse there is live music from the James Finn Band with a mix of pop hits. On Saturday night the Funki band are in town and on stage at Jeremy’s from 9pm. The Sunday acoustic from 4pm is Darren Jackson.
