Glenn Futter, former head chef at The Millbank near Triangle, has taken over the reins at Elland restaurant La Cachette.
His move to La Cachette follows the decision of owner Jon Nicols to also take over the neighbouring Bertie’s Banqueting Suite.
Mr Futter, who joins La Cahette as head chef and shareholder, spent nine years at The Millbank where he was a partner in the business and helped to secure a listing in the Good Food Guide and a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating.
Prior to that he worked as head chef at Ziba, the fashionable brasserie in Liverpool.
“Joining La Cachette gives me a fantastic opportunity to work in a traditional brasserie environment while allowing scope for innovation. The restaurant is much-loved by local residents and has attracted a loyal following over the years.
“I have already begun to put my stamp on the menus and look forward to working with the team to take La Cahette forward.”
Mr Nichols said: “I am thrilled to welcome Glenn to the team. His extensive experience and culinary knowledge is impressive.”
