AFTER being closed for nearly 18 months, the Whitehall Hotel at Hipperholme is to reopen.
The 200-year-old, Grade II listed building will once again open its doors on November 11.
Landlord Hugh Johnson, a publican for over 20 years, has operated pubs all over the country and most recently ran The Crown and Midland pubs in Normanton.
Hugh is keen to take on the challenge of re-establishing the Whitehall as a thriving community pub.
Anyone travelling through Hipperholme cannot miss The Whitehall.
Unfortunately, for over a year it has been a sorry sight. But now after a full refurbishment and the promise of further investment into the pub in the Spring the future is more promising for the former coaching inn which has been welcoming visitors since the early years of the 18th century.
With a bright new interior, and a wide range of draught, cask and bottled beers, Hugh will welcome customers old and new and hopes that with their support the future of this classic old pub can be assured.
