True North Restaurant offers Mother’s Day carvery and cocktails at home

The limited edition, three-course meal for four is based on firm family favourite – the Roast Dinner – and includes three meats: Sirloin of Beef, Lamb Rump and Pork Belly, served with roast potatoes, rosemary and garlic carrots, Tenderstem broccoli, cauliflower cheese, fresh Yorkshire pudding mix and True North Gravy.

The True North Carvery Box includes a bottle of wine but most importantly, every Mum receives a specially mixed Rhubarb Gin Fizz Cocktail, including a mini bottle of Prosecco.

The Box goes on sale on Friday, March 5, exclusively at Goodeats (charliesgroceries.co.uk) and is priced at £85 (serves four).

Restaurant Executive Director Sarah Horsley said: “It’s a year since the first Lockdown hit and we had to close our doors just before Mother’s Day. We certainly missed welcoming families wanting to mark this special day.

"This year again, we’re unable to open our doors, however, we have been able to add a twist to our classic, much-loved Sunday Lunch and create a delicious Carvery that families can enjoy at home. With a number of Mums on the True North team, we all agreed it was especially important to include a treat for Mum that was exclusively hers; and we felt the Rhubarb Gin Fizz hit the spot!”

“Our New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Boxes were a huge success so we’ve taken the formula and tweaked it to create a package for the whole family. The Carvery is freshly prepared here at True North so there’s less to do in your kitchen and there’s even step-by-step instructions included in the boxes too.

The Carvery Box also includes a selection of Sharing Starters; Chicken and Liver Pate with True North Chutney and Salted Butter, and Tomato and Red Pepper Soup with Pesto Marinated Mozzarella.There's also White Chocolate and Ginger Cheesecake plus Apple and Blackberry Crumble with Custard to follow.

Sarah continues: “We use our local distribution partner, Charlie’s Groceries to deliver the boxes for us. Charlie’s champion local Halifax High Street businesses and help them connect with Halifax and surrounding area communities.

"Whilst the boxes are prepared for 4 people, you can add to them if there’s more in your household. And if there’s less, the contents have a shelf life of three days so you can enjoy the food at leisure over the weekend.”

The Box can be delivered within a seven-mile radius of Brighouse or collected from The Arches Events Venue at Dean Clough Mills.
