Hundreds of youngsters and families enjoyed all the fun of the fair at Wellholme Park, Brighouse.
The fairground on Bradford Road was held over the bank holiday weekend as people took advantage of the warm weather.
From dodgems to teacups and ghost trains to fun houses, there were attractions for all ages.
The event was run by Marshall’s Amusements based on Atlas Mill Road, Brighouse.
Head of the company Sandra Wright, who has 35 years experience of organising fairs, said there was a reasonable turnout but thought people were going away to catch some of the sun.
“I’m sorry to say, the fair did not go too well. We did better last year in the bad weather.
“We think everyone was making the best of the good weather and choosing to go away.
“It was a big disappointment taking into account the cost of the giant sand pit and the Disney ‘Characters’ we had on Bank Holiday Sunday.”
Marshall’s Amusements, are one of the largest suppliers of fairground entertainment to event organisers in Yorkshire consisting of seven generations of the Marshall name.
