School is rated outstanding by inspectors
A headmistress has congratulated her staff after an outstanding report by Ofsted inspectors.
Susan Vaughey, at Rastrick Independent School, said the inspection of the Early Years foundation stage was due to the excellence of the Early Years team.
“This inspection has identified our good and outstanding practice and has also identified within the demands and changed emphasis of the new framework, areas which are now being implemented. This has helped the school to find a structured, positive way forward with our already very successful framework,” she said.
“This is a truly positive inspection with acknowledgement of exceptional practice.
“Our team is to be congratulated as we continue to work on our development plan within the new rigorous directives.
“We are also pleased we have had such a positive start and are very grateful for the input of the inspectors who were helpful and informative. The professional dialogue we hared will continue now in our school.”
The inspection carried out by Mary Hughes found that children make outstanding progress in their learning and development as well as in their personal development which is evident throughout the Early Years foundation stage.
Children have high levels of confidence and feel happy and there is an outstanding relationship which exists between children and their key person.
High priority is given to children’s personal and social development with clear expectations of safe and sensible behaviour and a good reward system.
