The practice has been conducting pre-season check-ups on all the players and management staff, including oral cancer screenings, and will provide emergency treatment as well as cosmetic procedures as required.

Outside of dentistry, both organisations are looking to work together through their non-profits, the Town Hall Foundation and Leeds United Foundation. The Town Hall Foundation’s activities including volunteering with the homeless in Leeds as well as providing oral health education in schools, work which earned them the award for Best Charity and Community Project in Dentistry in 2019. The Leeds United Foundation aims to use the power of sport to educate, motivate, inspire, and support people throughout the local Leeds community.

Rachel Dilley, Practice Manager of Town Hall Dental, said: “Working with Leeds United has been an absolute delight for us these past couple of years. We are so happy for the team to get promoted as we know what a great bunch of people they are, and we’re delighted to be partnering with them for the next few years in the Premier League. Our patients have loved it as well, it’s not often you bump into a Premier League footballer on a trip to your local dentist.”

“Outside of our work with the players, we can’t wait to further develop our work with our foundations. Helping the next generation access sport and healthcare, while at the same time helping those most in need across Yorkshire is going to have a huge impact on the community.”

“Marcelo is a friend of the practice, and it’s been a delight to have him visit us throughout the years” Rachel added. “It’s the least we could do to pay homage to a man who’s done so much for football fans across West Yorkshire”.
