Project Breakout based in a former flour mill in Brighouse will once again open its doors only to lock people in – all in the name of brain-teasing fun.

All four of its rooms will reopen on August 1 and run from 10am to 10pm Wednesday to Sunday with a raft of extra cleaning processes in place to reassure customers it’s safe to visit once more.

Dollmaker, The Antidote, Project Z and the multi-room Operation Clearsafe will all be open for bookings and will feature thorough clean downs between each game, hand sanitiser on entry and inside games, and additional safety information in pre-game briefings. For the foreseeable future all live actor interaction has been removed from Operation Clearsafe to ensure there is no contamination once players enter the rooms.

Prices will remain the same as pre-lockdown and any gift vouchers that customers currently have will be valid indefinitely. All bookings need to be in line with the latest Government guidance on households and social distancing indoors.

Project Breakout, which has attracted rave reviews including a 4.9 Google rating and 5 out of 5 on Facebook since opening back in 2016, can’t wait to get going again.

Project Breakout Gamesmaster, Benn Stoker, said: “The way Project Breakout has been built lends itself to social distancing naturally. For example, we have a large briefing room so we can maintain social distancing and gamesmasters have their own ‘pods’ to operate games from well away from each other, so we’re in a strong position to reopen.

“We will ramp up our already excellent hygiene levels across all our rooms and as booking are private it means customers won’t be introduced to other people – so if you book for two that booking remains for two. We always cap room bookings at six people which fits well with current guidance nationally.”
