Back by popular demand, the world famous James Shepherd Versatile Brass returns to Brighouse to give a concert along with singers Rachel Harrison and Paul Holroyd.
In November last year this group gave a highly regarded concert of popular music at Central Methodist Church. This time the venue moves to St Martin’s Parish Church with an all new selection of music.
James Shepherd’s band will accompany the soloists and play spots of its favourite medleys during the evening.
The concert has been organised by members of the Brighouse Business Initiative following on from its highly successful sell-out show “Songs from the Musicals” last month.
Steven Lord, one of the organisers, said: “This latest concert confirms our determination to bring top class entertainment to Brighouse. I am delighted to say that our enthusiasm is being shared by the local community and ticket sales continue to grow. If people continue to give us their support we will stage many more exciting concerts.”
This show is set to be one of the highlights of the concert circuit in Calderdale, bringing together local talent and celebrating music from great composers and artists in Brighouse
In addition to organising this concert, the Brighouse Business Initiative is soon to announce details of a new and enlarged Spring Market and Family Fun Weekend on April 25/26.
Not only will the town be filled with a huge street market and street entertainment but on Sunday afternoon it will also incorporate the traditional St George’s Day parade but with an exciting difference.
Tickets for the concert on April 18 are available at Harrison Lord, Ryecorn Wholefoods and Simply Flowers.
