Halifax Concert Band will be performing at St Martin’s Church, Brighouse, this autumn.

The band, conducted by Chris Binns, will be returning after a successful concert three years ago.

With a playing membership of 40, the band will be in action on Saturday, October 18, at 7.30pm.

The band will be playing a varied programme, including some pieces which commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and other popular pieces.

Formed in 1979, the band was originally known as Highlands School Old Students Band. The band’s reputation is well-established, performing further afield and has played in Brighouse’s twin town of Ludenscheid and for the visit of Prince Charles to Sowerby Bridge in 2008.

Tickets can be reserved by ringing Sue on 01484 715077 or pay on the door.
