Several fabulous live productions will be screened at The Vue, Halifax, The Rex Elland and Hebden Bridge Picture House as stage comes to the big screen.

The first on Wednesday, November 16 at 8pm is The Alan Bennett Diaries Live revealing Britain’s best-loved writer, who, at 82, shows no signs of slowing down. The event includes a Q&A with Bennett from his local library in Primrose Hill.

On Thursday December 8 at 7.15pm The Royal Ballet presents the wonderful Christmas story of The Nutcracker.

Two of our best loved actors Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart come together on December 15 in Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land. Following their hit run on Broadway the pair return to London’s Wyndham’s Theatre. And finally, why not celebrate the end of the year with the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle for the New Year’s Eve Gala Concert in a sparkling programme that features classic works by Rachmaninov, Walton and Dvořák. Saturday December 31 at 4pm (Only Elland and Hebden Bridge). See cinema websites for full details.
