FORMER Brighouse High School student, Matthew Wolfenden wowed judges on hit TV show Dancing On Ice with the compulsory three elements, scoring the highest score of the show so far.
Matthew, who used to live at Norwood Green, had to perform a spin, a step sequence and a jump with the possibility of scoring two points for each, if they were done perfectly with dance partner Nina Ulavona.
Judge Katarina Witt said she gave Matthew 5.5 points alone for the required elements giving him a score of 9.5 from the female judge.
He also received 9.5 from head judge Robin Cousins and 9 from fellow judge Louie Spence. Giving him a total of 28.
Matthew said: “That is the best we have skated it together and we pulled it off on the night.”
Katarina said it was almost perfection and Louie said he had got his spark back and it was a fabulous performance. Robin said it was prestige from a technical point of view.
Host Phil Schofield told Matthew: “You knew when you finished that routine that it was good.”
