ESS Green is taking more steps to success after appearing on Sky’s Got To Dance with crew The A-Team.

The Brighouse businessman has just come back from Berlin after competing for a place in the Michael Jackson Tribute show in Las Vegas in 2013.

The 21-year-old competed against 300 other dancers including members of his street dance crew, The A-Team, before making it to the final 14 competitors.

The judges will now watch the audition again and if successful he will compete against the finalists from America and Europe in New York on May 13.

“It was very intense because on the second day we were being taught the routine by the choreographer for the actual video of Smooth Criminal. It was very surreal. It was great fun though,” said Ess who runs Axznt in Bradford Road.

As a group the A-Team has performed at Move It, Europe’s biggest dance convention, where they signed autographs and pictures.

They will perform at the Olympics in London as well as performing in the Olympic Relay with Coca Cola in Cardiff and Birmingham.

Ess has also been asked to do various solo jobs such as judging dancing competitions.

“I thought I would get basic jobs like judging but the bigger jobs for the theatre shows is quite a big deal. I didn’t think it would go further but now we are getting recognition from outside of the UK which is fantastic,” he said.

Ess was one of the eight dancers in the A-Team which made it to the final ten of Got To Dance in March at Kensington Olympia in London. Despite getting fantastic comments from the judges, Kimberley Wyatt, Adam Garcia and Ashley Banjo they missed out on a spot in the top three.

“It has definitely done me some good. I’m really happy with how it has all turned out. I am very tired trying to fit it all in because business is also booming. It is just hard with all these decisions I am having to make.”
