Brighouse Art Circle has started the New Year in creative fashion with workshops, demonstrations - and new members.

The group, which meets at Waring Green Community Centre, Brighouse, started the year with a drawing workshop and tonight, Thursday, at 7.30pm, there will be a demonstration in acrylics by artist Jeremy Ford, former President of the Society of All Artists, whose work has featured on TV and in magazines.

Chairman Geoff Habergham said: “We are a flourishing and friendly art society with a varied programme.

“We welcome new members of all ages and abilities who are looking for a new hobby. In the summer months there are also Tuesday afternoon outdoor meetings which are popular. We usually attract between 18 and 30 members to our meetings.”

Geoff said the group offered free taster sessions with materials supplied for anyone interested in having a go.For more information contact 01484 712947.
